Optimist International Academy (OIA) is an innovative educational journey that unites an established primary school and a pioneering secondary school under one bold international vision. OIA is a collaboration between Optimist International School (OIS) and Haarlemmermeer Lyceum Tweetalig (HLML), supported by Floreer and Dunamare Onderwijs.
In August 2026 we began the inaugural year of the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (IB MYP), we are inviting colleagues to express interest in a teaching role in the discipline of Integrated Science.
Who are you?
You are a qualified teacher who is currently employed within our organisation or one of our partner organisations. You enjoy working in a diverse community and are experienced with the IB MYP, we also welcome colleagues who work within other science disciplines and are eager to learn and who align with MYP philosophy. You are highly proficient in English; a knowledge of Dutch is not essential for our context.
What will you do?
As a subject teacher, you will design and deliver engaging MYP units, assess student learning using MYP criteria, and collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning, interdisciplinary learning, and student support.
